How long have you been at Idea Learning?
June 2013. The first 2 1/2 years, I worked as an independent contractor before coming on as full-time employee.
What did you think you were going to be when you were a kid?
For a few years fighter pilot was at the top of my list thanks to the movie Top Gun. Then the reality that I can’t even ride a carousel without motion sickness brought that dream to an end.
What makes you laugh the most?
My girlfriends. No matter where you are or what you are doing, if you’re with your girlfriends eventually you’ll end up doubled over in uncontrollable laughter.
Favorite movie quote?
“Now imagine she’s white.” From A Time to Kill (1996) defense summation. This one line, is a call to check our own bias. It’s a reminder to step outside of our bubble and view things from a human perspective, not a conditioned one.
Favorite thing about working at Idea Learning?
The team. Hands down the most passionate, supportive, fun, talented, and focused team I’ve ever been a part of.
