Clackamas County needed to redesign their lecture based, slide-heavy training into a more creative, learner-centered experience so that participants would be able to confidently and proactively manage employee and labor relations issues.
We met with subject matter experts, reviewed existing materials, and dug into the details of each of the six collective bargaining agreements.
We then created four 2-hour sessions that accurately reflect the real-life experiences of managers at Clackamas County working in the union environment:
- Fundamentals of Just Cause and Due Process
- Conducting Workplace Investigations
- Progressive Discipline
- Responding to Grievances
Throughout each learning experience, we embedded:
- Best practices, tools, templates, job aids
- Scenarios
- Mini games
We even designed an escape room inspired workplace investigation so that learners can practice utilizing the tools and templates to assess, plan, and conduct a simulated workplace investigation.
We received programs that are more than we could have done ourselves. I know I couldn't have done what you did for us.
